Sparsa by Dalmos: how to stop newsletters and request deletion of your data

These instructions are available in English and Croatian. Hrvatski

This page explains how to stop receiving newsletters sent through Sparsa and how to ask for your personal data to be deleted. Sparsa is provided by DALMOS SYSTEMS, obrt za informatičke usluge, vl. Noa Matas, Šibenik, Ulica Sedmog kontinenta 1 (MBO 99393786).

Who decides about your data

The organisation whose newsletter you receive is the controller of your data in Sparsa; Dalmos Systems processes the data on that organisation’s behalf. Sparsa lets the organisation export or delete one person’s data.

Option 1: unsubscribe

Every newsletter sent through Sparsa contains an unsubscribe link, and many e-mail programs show an "Unsubscribe" button next to the sender. Either works at once, without signing in. On the preference page behind the link you can also choose which topics you still want, or stop the measurement of your opens and clicks.

Marking a newsletter as spam also stops all newsletters of that organisation.

Option 2: ask the organisation

To have your data deleted, write to the organisation that sends you the newsletter, for example by replying to the newsletter, and ask it to delete your data. This is usually the fastest way.

Option 3: write to us

Send an e-mail to service@dalmossystems.com with the subject "Sparsa data deletion request" and tell us the name of the organisation and the e-mail address at which you receive its newsletters. Please do not send copies of identity documents.

What happens next

We confirm that we have received your request and forward it to the organisation. To make sure the request comes from you, the organisation or we may send a confirmation message to the address concerned. On the organisation’s instruction we delete from Sparsa your contact details, your list memberships, your measured opens and clicks and any unconfirmed sign-ups. We aim to complete the request within one month, the period the GDPR sets for answering, and we tell you when it is done.

What is not deleted

  • A one-way code computed from your address, kept in that organisation’s suppression list so that it never writes to you again or re-imports you. The code cannot be turned back into your address and is used for nothing else.
  • Counts in the organisation’s newsletter reports, which no longer refer to you.
  • Copies the organisation keeps in its own systems, such as its customer records, and data it must keep by law.
  • Backup copies, until they expire automatically.
